The increasing environmental challenges associated with rapid industrialization, climate change, and resource depletion have necessitated the adoption of sustainable and green engineering technologies. These technologies aim to minimize environmental impact while promoting efficient resource utilization and long-term ecological balance. In recent years, advancements in renewable energy systems, green construction materials, waste management techniques, smart infrastructure, and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes have transformed the engineering landscape. Emerging economies, in particular, are actively integrating green technologies to achieve sustainable development goals and reduce carbon footprints. This study explores the emerging trends in sustainable and green engineering technologies and examines their role in future development. The research highlights key innovations such as solar and wind energy systems, energy-efficient building designs, green transportation, circular economy practices, and smart grid technologies. A structured methodology based on primary survey data and secondary literature was adopted to analyze the adoption and effectiveness of these technologies. The findings indicate that renewable energy technologies, eco-friendly construction practices, and smart engineering systems are the most impactful drivers of sustainability. The study also identifies challenges such as high initial costs, lack of technical expertise, and policy limitations that hinder the widespread adoption of green engineering solutions. However, increasing government support, technological advancements, and growing environmental awareness are expected to accelerate the transition toward sustainable engineering practices. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers, engineers, and industry stakeholders seeking to promote sustainable development through innovative engineering solutions.
